Ko wai matau?

“Nga Mahi a Te Rehia” (NMTR) is the Maori name for “leisure activities”. The name was given by the Maori shareholders of SFRITO. Maori are 50% shareholders in SFRITO in recognition of the Treaty of Waitangi partnership between Maori and non Maori, and the interest that Maori have in the industry.

Supporting Maori Achievement

NMTR plays a big part in helping SFRITO to achieve its development objectives for Maori. NMTR supports the work of the other SFRITO sector teams with Maori while facilitating and developing training that meets the needs of Maori trainees in a variety of Maori areas of learning.

NMTR is about assisting Maori to achieve your goals. We are constantly looking to add products to our kete that are relevant and work for Maori.

Te mahi tahi me o tatau marae – working with marae

A big part of our focus and strategy are our whanau and marae. Marae are the “community centres” of Te Ao Maori. We can provide training and assessment that recognises skills and knowledge that many of us take for granted in areas like te reo Maori, Maori performing arts, facility management, business administration and computing and many others.
