Sfrito's training and assessment system provides for trainees to be assessed while they are doing their job. This involves a Registered Assessor making decisions using unit standards as the basis of the skills and knowledge being demonstrated by the trainee in their day to day work. This approach has a number of benefits.
- The trainee can be assessed without having to stop working or travel away.
- The assessment uses real work tasks rather than artificially created tasks.
- Assessment can be conducted over time.
- Assessment against qualifications can be integrated with workplace practices and training planning.
