Product Development Team
The Product Development Team comprises of 5 members from our offices across the country and is managed by the Business Manager - Leona van der Heyden.

Sue Gemmell
Sue has been with Sfrito since 2005, and is based in Taupo. She has an extensive background as a senior Industry Training Advisor working with Outdoor Recreation workplaces.
She has a degree in Physical Education and has been a registered teacher; most of her employment though has been with Outdoor Education providers. Prior to being employed by Sfrito, Sue was the Programme Development Officer at the Sir Edmund Hillary Outdoor Pursuits Centre of NZ.
Sue has been an enthusiastic participant in a variety of outdoor activities and holds instructional awards in rock climbing, mountaineering, outdoor safety management, and both downhill and telemark skiing. Her current passion is mountain biking.

Tracy-Lee Burkhart
Iwi affilitation: Ngati Raukawa
Tracy-Lee (TL) has been with Sfrito since 2005. She has a solid background as a senior Industry Training Advisor within the Community Recreation sector.
She came to Sfrito from a management role at the local polytechnic and prior to that worked in a variety of roles including facility leadership and management with Recreation Wellington. TL is also a registered nurse.
“I have a lot of motivation and energy around facilitating growth and development for individuals working in Community Recreation especially those who have great skills and experience but no real recognition of these. I hope to make a difference for these people through the work I do at Sfrito.” |

Graham Witts
Graham joined Sfrito in 2006 as an Industry Training Advisor based in Wellington working with clients and organisations within the sport sector.
Graham has a background in sports development having previously worked for Volleyball New Zealand, and England Hockey as the first Hockey Development Officer for London.
Graham has a passion for all things sporting, especially football as a proud supporter of Charlton Athletic and Wellington Phoenix. He is also a player and coach at Karori Hockey Club. In his non-sporting time he is also passionate about music and good beer but likes to combine all three if possible.

Mark Ormsby - Product Development
Works in the Product Development Team on Nga Mahi a Te Rehia projects.
Liaises with iwi and industry to develop qualifications, unit standards and resources that are ‘fit for purpose’.
