Richard Beddie (Chairman) Richard has a business background, having owned a number of businesses over the last 15 years. He has a Bachelors degree in statistics and a Masters in Business Administration. He is currently CEO of Fitness New Zealand and speaks internationally on health & wellness trends. Richard has a passion for sustainable business growth and believes in a collaborative approach to business. Richard has been Chair of Sfrito for seven years. |

John McEnteer John is a member of the Institute of Directors and is Chair of another industry training organisation: ESITO, the Electricity Supply ITO. He is also Chair of the Pakirarahi Maori Land Trust which is a timber and minerals entity in Hauraki. His main focus is governance, leadership and strategic planning. His previous experience includes Deputy Chair and Director, Capital and Coast District Health Board, Executive Member for Tainui region of Federation of Maori Authorities (FOMA), Director of Mighty River Power Limited, Commissioner for the Representation Commission. John is an advocate for Hauraki Iwi in Treaty of Waitangi matters, their spokesman on foreshore and seabed, and a commentator on Maori and Treaty issues. He has run his own consulting business for fifteen years. John has been a director of Sfrito for four years. |

Hinemaua Rikirang iIwi: Ngati Ranginui, Ngati Hako Hinemaua has a breadth of involvement in the sporting, education, local government and Maori community sectors, and has been employed in Iwi liaison positions, as well as serving on school Boards of Trustees, Kohanga Reo, and Kura Kaupapa Maori. Hinemaua lives and resides in the Tauranga Moana area and is actively involved with local Marae, Hapu and Iwi activities, including project managing the Ngati Ranginui Iwi Raupatu claims. Previously employed by NZQA, Hinemaua’s key role was to assist to develop quality management systems, policies and procedures of organisations within the Tertiary sector. Hinemaua’s career also encompasses events management and coordination, a representative on several sports and youth related community trusts, aerobics instructing and coaching junior sports teams, television presenting and developing a Maori sports language series for Maori Television. Hinemaua has served on the Sfrito Board for four years.

Grant Davidson Grant is currently Chief Executive of the Sir Edmund Hillary Outdoor Pursuits Centre of New Zealand which has centres near Tongariro National Park and on Great Barrier Island. He has a PhD in risk management from the Department of Management Studies at Waikato University, a Masters in Education from the University of Minnesota (USA), and a BSc in Physics and Applied Maths from Auckland University. He is also a trained and certified teacher. Grant is Deputy Chair of Outdoors New Zealand and is a life member (and current President) of the New Zealand Outdoor Instructors Association. Grant still follows an active lifestyle and is an active orienteer. He is married with three young children and lives on a lifestyle block near Taupo. Grant has been a member of the SFRITO Board for seven years.

Andrew Gunn Andrew has a number of business interests in the hospitality and entertainment industries as well as chairing the NZ Register of Exercise Professionals. Andrew has a Bachelor of Commerce degree in accounting and economics, and an MBA from Canterbury University. He has a particular interest is in supporting Sfrito to continue strengthening its capability in bringing about key training outcomes in all its sectors. Andrew has been on the Sfrito Board six years. |

Sam Napia Iwi: Ngapuhi, Ngati Kauwhata Sam has a senior management and director background in both the private and public sectors. He is the former Chief Executive of the Hauraki Maori Trust Board and has extensive experience in working with Maori organisations. Sam currently works in local government, an industry with which he has been associated for more than 21 years. His local government experience includes a recent overseas stint as the Chief Executive of a council in Australia’s Northern Territory. Sam was elected to Sfrito’s Board in May 2007.

Brendon Rope Brendon’s industry background has included working with Regional Sports Trust, regional sports organisations, national sports organisations, Polytechnics, recreation providers, and currently for his own training and development consultancy. He has previously been employed in a client liaison role with Sfrito. Brendon has been Chair of the New Zealand Recreation Association’s Auckland/Northland Region and is currently Treasurer for NZRA’s Midland Region. He has a Bachelor of Leisure Studies from the University of Waikato. Brendon was elected to the Sfrito Board in May 2007 and he sees his role as a Sfrito Board member enabling him to further support the direction of our vibrant, health focused and energetic industry. Brendon lives in Napier with his wife and first child. |
